ISO

1)What are the advantages of shooting at a higher ISO at a sporting event like basketball or a night football game? It will come out really blurry and you wouldnt be able to see it.

2)What suggestions did the author make about using a low ISO? You should always try and use the lowest ISO the help retain the best picture possible with the highest quality.

3)What suggestions did the author make about using a high ISO? When there is not enough light for the camera to be able to quickly capture the image.

4)At the camera near you, please tell me what ISO's are available on your camera. Auto,100,200,400,800,1600,3200,6400

aperture

1. What part of the body should we closely relate aperture?
we should relate aperture to the eye

2. Finish this sentence - the smaller the Aperture larger the aperture , the higher the Aperture smaller the aperture .

 3. In your own words tell me how aperture impacts Depth of Field?
if its a lower aperture then the only focused part is the subject

4. With the camera near you - tell me the F stops available on the lens currently attached. yes, f3.5, f4.0, f4.5, f5.0, f5.6, f6.3, f7.1, f8.0 , f9.0, f10 , f11 f13, f14, f16, f18, f20, f22

Black_an_White

The photographers name is Nick Brandt , i liked every single one of this guys photo like all of them were super amazing. i like how he caught every animal photo so very close to where it looks like he was right there.  The photo to the left was my favorite , because it shows a bonding between the girl and the boy and also frames them and only them.  He uses a Pentax 67II with only two fixed lenses. his reason for shooting was to capture animals before mankind destroys them all. The hope is to catch the animals make a huge difference in his ability to reveal their personality. Nick Bradnt Said "As for Africa, I went there in 1995 to direct one of the videos they did for Michael Jackson. And I absolutely fell in love with the place.  It was completely magic to me.

Academic Shoot reflection

1. What challenges did you encounter while trying to get the photos following the rules I set out for you?   It was much harder to get them in a academic setting.

2. What technical aspects of photography or the assignment in general (focus, framing, holding the camera, etc.) did you find yourself thinking about the most? Provide a specific example of what you did to do this correctly.  I held the camera correctly like you showed us how to , and made sure it was secure

3. If you could do the assignment again, what would you do differently now that you know some basic rules of photography?  I would of took better rule pictures because i didn't quite get them good.

4. What things would you do the same?   Maybe only the framing and lines photo would be the same.

 5. When you go out with your next set of prompts, which rule do you think will be the easiest to achieve?  The easiest would be the lines of course

6. Which rule do you think will be the hardest to capture?  rule of thirds or balance

7. What rule are you still not totally clear on and what can you do to figure out what that rule is?   simplicity, study more and read up on it

balance

i don't think i followed this rule well at all . subject is balance kinda tell where its at but then again bad photo. not really clear but could kind of tell. i would of found a better area and better detailed photo

lines

i feel like i did this good , got lines down well. The subject in this photo is lines it follows a straight line. yes it can be very clear to see this. i could of got a longer line next time

Framing

i followed this rule pretty good. The subject is the kid working on his business and law paper. It should be very clear to students and teachers that know of the rules that its a good shot.

rule of thirds

I feel like i followed this rule very well , if you draw an imagery tic tac toe line the kid in the black is in the top right. the subject is the kid in the black he is the top right of the tic tac toe box. it clearly is visible to people that this is rule of thirds. Maybe could of did one with a not so much crowded area

avoiding emergers

In this photo i followed this rule pretty good i was avoiding the officer.
the subject in this photo is trying to avoid the subject.
yes it should be very clear to people.

simpilicty

In this photo i feel i followed the rule alright , only if i didn't the other guy in there it would be great.
The subject is me in and academic environment
yeah but then not really cause of the person in the back
i would of did a better picture for simplicity

academic shoot

"The Story" - This tells the story of us feeding the homeless and showing community services

"Emotion" - students showing emotion to a memorial or just taking a minute of silence to remember loved ones.

"filling the frame" - it fills the frame looks like students are playing with bio freeze , or some sort of chemical. this was most interesting to me .

post shoot reflection

1. the challenges i faced was finding somebody grumpy cause the officers didn't want to take a picture so couldn't find nobody .

2. i would have to say focusing and handling or holding the camera. lol

3. if i could do it again , i would of used the rules of photography i knew them from last year but forgot them .

4. the same pictures but with rules.

5. i would love to do this again find more pics this time.

6 technique's

rule of thirds -Rule of thirds separates the photo like tic tac toe and puts what it is focusing on in a quadrant. this photo is in the top left quadrant.

lines-This photo represents lines because of the buildings horizons going in a line, makes it seem like the buildings go one for forever

framing- This photo is being framed by the building that is surrounding the flag , framing an American by hanging it down both sides of the top of the building.

avoiding mergers-avoiding mergers is catching a photo that has something almost hitting another object in the photo , looks like all of the broken building is going to crash into the lights .

balance- is about geometric shapes , and the red tractor and the one behind make a right triangle. its an attractive shape to look for when taking pictures. also the truck about to go out of the picture has a acute angle of wood on it .

simplicity - focusing on one object in the photo. They focused on when the plane collide with twin towers. Gives us most visual attention on the twin towers.
